COMPLETE EXTRUSION. ENGINEERED AS ONE.
Packaging

Protect the profile quality created by your extrusion line.

Finished profiles must reach storage and customers without avoidable scratches, contamination or handling damage. ALUFORMIX packaging solutions organize profile layers, apply protective materials, form stable bundles and transfer finished packs with the automation level required by the plant.

APS — Automatic Packaging System

Runs the finished-profile packing sequence as one automated line: profiles enter from the handling tables, are wrapped, weighed and identified, and leave as a logged bundle ready for storage or dispatch. The operator supervises the line instead of handling each bundle. Automation level, cycle rate and pack format are configured for the plant’s dispatch standard.

  • Automatic wrapping line with controlled film tension and overlap
  • Load cells under the bundle conveyor log the weight of every bundle
  • Profile-code scanning with sorting by alloy grade and part number
  • Robotic bundle transfer into baskets or dispatch positions
  • HMI recipe, production-data and traceability screens
  • Interfaces to strapping, labelling and the storage system

Protective Film Application

Applies adhesive protective film to selected profile surfaces before bundle formation. The system is configured around profile geometry, film width, line speed and required coverage.

  • Controlled film tension and alignment
  • Profile-guiding arrangement
  • Recipe or manual setup options
  • Integration with upstream transfer tables

Package Forming Table

Aligns profiles, builds layers and prepares the final bundle geometry before wrapping. The table can support manual, assisted or automated package formation.

  • Adjustable length and bundle size
  • Layer and separator handling
  • Profile-friendly contact surfaces
  • Connection to wrapper and dispatch tables

Cardboard / Plastic Dispensers

Feeds sheets, strips or protective materials into the package sequence to separate and protect profiles. Material format and dispensing method are selected for the required packaging specification.

Orbital Wrapping System

Wraps formed profile bundles with the selected film or protective material while the package moves through the machine. Speed, overlap and wrap pattern can be adjusted for different bundle formats.

  • Automatic or semi-automatic operation
  • Variable wrapping parameters
  • Guarded wrapping zone
  • Infeed and outfeed conveyor integration

Wooden Block & Support Placement

Introduces timber or engineered support blocks beneath or within the pack to improve stability and forklift handling. The system may be manual, assisted or automated according to production volume.

Loading, Unloading & Transport Tables

Moves profiles and completed bundles through packaging, strapping, labelling and dispatch-staging operations. The transfer system is configured around pack weight, length and handling method.

  • Roller, belt or chain transfer
  • Accumulation and buffer positions
  • Weighing and labelling interfaces
  • Connection to warehouse or dispatch handling

ASRS — Automatic Storage and Redressing System

Takes packed bundles from the packaging line and stores them in a rack system under automatic control, so finished goods are placed, tracked and retrieved without manual searching. Rack geometry, basket format, crane arrangement and inventory interfaces are configured for the plant’s storage volume and dispatch pattern.

  • Safe basket loading directly from the packaging line
  • Stacker-crane or transfer-car served storage racks
  • Storage location tracked by alloy grade, part number and batch
  • Retrieval sequenced for dispatch or onward processing
  • Inventory data available to plant or ERP systems
Process

How the packaging and storage sequence runs

Profiles arrive from the handling tables and leave as a wrapped, weighed, identified bundle in its recorded storage position — without an operator handling any of it.

Profile infeed

  1. 1Automatic wrapping line

The bundle is wrapped with the selected protective film as it travels, at a tension and overlap set for the pack format.

  2. 2Weight check of bundles

Load cells under the bundle conveyor automatically log the weight of every bundle as it passes.

  3. 3HMI data interpretation

The system scans the profile code and sorts the data by alloy grade and part number.
